Prolan Applications

All blends of Prolan products are very easy and safe to apply using trigger pack sprayers, garden sprayers or airguns. Where possible remove any rust, scale or other surface coating. Shake product well before use. For best results apply to a clean and dry surface by spraying or wiping. Allow time for the Prolan to penetrate into surface and for the carrier to completely evaporate before use. It is best to apply Prolan on a heated metal surface, for maximum penetration and protection ( a hot day is suitable). Prolan can be buffed or polished into surfaces, providing a smooth finish and reduced tackiness.
Agricultural
- Lubrication and corrosion prevention in vehicles, tractors, harvesters, conveyors, chains, spraying and irrigation equipment.
Aquaculture
- Prevent fouling and build up of marine growth.
- Excellent to use on nets, ropes and attachments, also use on all fittings and pumps for corrosion protection.
Aviation
- Prevention of corrosion and oxidisation on parts, use as a general lubricant, provides excellent protection against corrosion in aircraft especially when used near corrosive environments such as the ocean.
Construction
- Use on all areas and equipment requiring protection against corrosion.
- Excellent lubrication and anti-seize for cranes, high tensile bolts and wire rope lubrication.
- Can be applied to surfaces to help prevent concrete from adhering (use on all concrete trucks and pumps).
Defence
- Lubrication and corrosion prevention on all water craft, weapons, electrical communications, vehicles, workshops, aviation and for equipment or parts storage.
Domestic
- Tools, verandas, mowers, vehicles, sporting accessories and as a general purpose lubricant.
Electrical
- Prevention and protection from crystallisation, verdigris creep, electrolysis and corrosion on items such as radios, communications, antennae, circuitry boards, switchgear, air conditioner units, ECU's, alternators and generators.
- Non-conductive to 70kV.
Government
- Protection of vehicles, machinery, timber boardwalks, playgrounds and tools for application in public areas.
Industrial
- Machinery and parts corrosion protection and lubrication.
- Lubrication of chains and other moving parts including container lifters and forklifts.
- Anti spatter for welding, cutting and drilling compound.
Manufacturing

- Excellent for part protection whilst in storage or transit.
- Excellent cutting compound and anti-splatter for welding.
Marine
- Protects outboards, stern drives, winches, chains, cables, anchors, hulls, propellers, electrical and engine room components.
- Prevents electrolysis caused by dissimilar metals.
- Helps to reduce marine growth on hulls and propellers, as marine growth cannot adhere to the hull through the barrier of lanolin.
- Helps to reduce drag on water, which results in increased hull speed and cuts down on fuel consumption.
- Lubrication and corrosion protection on winches, cables, anchors and anchor lockers.
